Life Safety System BMS 1400
AE Solutions has recognized the need in industry for a Burner Management System (BMS) that is capable of performing up to the requirements of the performance-based safety standards ANSI / ISA84, IEC 61508, and IEC61511 as well as conforming with the prescriptive NFPA 85 and NFPA 86 codes.
Accordingly, we have developed the SI-BMS 1300TM and SI-BMS 1400TM product family of BMS. These solutions are based on the use of TÜV certified safety PLCs to achieve the highest levels of safety availability coupled with reliable performance for greatly reduced nuisance shutdown trips.
The BMS 1300 is a basic solution using a simplex safety certified PLC. While it is suitable for use up to SIL 3, it does not support redundancy. The BMS 1400 is also certified for use up to SIL 3 and supports various redundancy options and greater I/O capability. When nuisance process trips incur large financial loss, the redundant design of the BMS 1400 will greatly extend the time between spurious trips.
